Mama’s Girl is an intimate, real-time portrait of a mother–daughter relationship under extreme conditions. Liza, a retired single mother, makes relentless attempts to save her daughter Tal—a transgender woman in rapid decline, involved in sex work and struggling with drug addiction—but reaches a dead end. Yet what appears on the surface is not the whole story; as truths emerge, reality shifts, challenging viewers to reconsider the limits of parenthood and motherhood.
