Home Ground is a documentary series that follows Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv, one of Israel’s most unique and storied football clubs, rooted in the Hatikva neighborhood in southern Tel Aviv. Once a source of great local pride, the club now struggles to reclaim its place. The series captures the 2024/25 season with rare, intimate access, revealing a close-knit community shaped by loyalty, tension, and identity. At its center is a former star returning to the club where he came of age, determined to fulfill a promise to his dying father. Opposite him stands a young player, the son of Ghanaian migrant workers, raised in the neighborhood and seeking a way out through football. Together, their stories unfold under the pressure of the game and the weight of everyday reality.
