About
This film chronicles years of connection between youth workers and teens taken from difficult or unsafe family circumstances. Their meeting point—a temporary safe haven in the countryside. Here, every day, these professionals give five children aged 7 to 14 the things they need most: safety, guidance, and a home. Beyond the filmmaker’s sensitive observation of these budding close relationships, this debut film highlights the significance of a working public welfare system and the importance of social responsibility. Ultimately, this is a story about empathy, listening, and patience. Though centered on fractured families, it powerfully affirms the idea that family is about more than blood ties.
